GETHELPPLACER / AYUDACOMUNITARIA text campaign & community calendar submissions

Hello! Placer County HHS, our community partners and 211 Placer recently launched a new text subscription line to promote social service programs and events throughout the year. This text campaign is offered in two languages, English and Spanish, and people can subscribe by texting GETHELPPLACER or AYUDACOMUNITARIA to 898211.

We are soliciting promotional material from you, our community partners, on a quarterly basis. You can submit up to 5 suggested texts for consideration that are relevant for the following quarter (i.e., an class or community event that takes place within the next three months; a program that might have programmatic alignment with a particular month i.e. May and Mental Health Awareness Month; etc.). Texts will be prioritized for inclusion based on relevance and timeliness.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS FOR OCT.-DEC. 2024: SEPT. 18, 2024.

Your text language may also be repurposed for 211 Placer’s social media platforms and website community calendar.

Please include a link to more information (either on your website, social media, or upload a flyer to a document-sharing site – such as Google Drive – and generate a public link). If your program/event is specific to a particular city or area, or occurs during a specific timeframe, please include that in the text language. Abbreviations and logograms (&, +, #, etc.) are permitted for space.

If you do not submit a Spanish translation, language will be submitted to a translator, though text promoting services that are less accessible to Spanish speaking community members will not be prioritized for the Spanish text line.
