Older Adult Health Program Workshops

Dementia Trainings:
Cognitive Self- Evaluations:
Self-administered dementia screening * We are not clinical staff; everyone will be directed to follow up with their health care provider.
Virtual Dementia Tour (VDT):
The VDT is an education and training tool for building empathy to improve the care provided to people living with dementia.
Dementia Dialogues:
A 5-module, evidence-based training for caregivers on Alzheimer’s, covering key topics like communication, independence, and behavior management.
Warning Signs of Alzheimer's Disease:
This informative session will help you understand the key differences between normal aging and Alzheimer’s, recognize common warning signs, and the importance of early detection.
Healthy Aging Trainings:
Wellness as you Age:
We cover essential guidance on maintaining your overall health, practical tips to support mental and physical well-being, and an overview of local community services designed to help you thrive.
Medication Safety:
This presentation helps seniors create a plan to manage medications with practical tips, tools, and free resources to recognize interactions, stay organized, and maintain confidence.
Fall Prevention:
Fall Prevention Overview Class:
One-time, high-level overview class that explains various ways to identify and understand your fall risk and how to take action to prevent a fall.
Bingocize*:
A 10-week, twice-weekly program combining bingo with exercise and fall prevention education.

A Matter of Balance*:
An 8-week program helping participants reduce fear of falling by setting goals, reducing risks, and improving strength and balance.

SAIL (Stay Active and Independent for Life)*:
A 6-week, twice-a-week, evidence-based strength, balance, and fitness program for adults 65 and older.

Stepping On*:
An 8-week, evidence-based workshop teaching fall risk reduction, strength, balance, and personalized action plans to help you stay safe and confident.
